We invite you to share your favorite reads of all time or of the moment.

How it works:

1) Pick up a recommendation card from our studio (275 6th Ave, Ste 102) or at Green Apple Books (506 Clement).

2) Fill it out!

3) Drop it off at our studio or Green Apple Books by Independent Book Store Day (Saturday, April 27th.)

4) We’ll put it up for you at Green Apple Books. Or you can place it anywhere in the store — like in front of the book or in your favorite reading nook.

5) The shelf talkers will be digitized so that your recommendations can live on!

A few ideas on how to fill out your recommendation card. Share with us:

• Why it’s your favorite book

• What impact did it have on your life?

• What feelings did it bring up? Did it make you laugh? Cry? Both?

• How did you discover this book?

• What were some takeaways after reading it?

• What could you compare it to? For ex: You’d love this book if you love Black Mirror.

Friends & Neighbors is a creative gathering space in the Inner Richmond (just around the corner from Green Apple Books!) We host book clubs, movie nights, artmaking parties and weekly neighborhood walks. Our goal is to create a space where neighbors can meet, create art and celebrate San Francisco culture. In addition to events, we also run a Risograph printing studio and offer workshops and printing services (the recommendation cards were made on the printer!)
