Cut & Paste: Analog Risograph Workshop

We’re excited to have you join us for Cut & Paste, an all-analog Risograph printer workshop. Come collage, cut-and-paste and color to create a set of Risograph postcard prints. In this workshop you’ll learn about how a Risograph machine works then create original artwork to scan into the machine. Then you’ll print out a set of two-color prints to take home.

Agenda

  • Intro to Risograph printer (30 mins)

  • Work on your design (1 hour, 30 mins)

  • Time to print! (1 hour)

What is Risograph?

Risograph is a machine that’s part screenprinting, part photocopier that creates vibrant and colorful copies with a DIY aesthetic.

Workshop includes:

- (20) 4×6 postcards (one or two-color) + extra postcards to share with other attendees

- a primer on Risograph machine and review of Risograph artwork examples

Studio supplies

- Risograph inks in black, blue, yellow, fluorescent pink, grass, bright red, violet, orange, lime (view color samples here)

We provide the following art supplies:

- Scissors

- Glue

- Paper

- Markers, crayons, pens, pencils

- Magazines for collaging

We encourage you bring any specific art supplies you want to use. We highly recommend visiting SCRAP for used art supplies.
